Within this film I am particularly drawn to the way in which the animation combines the art of cinematography and incorporates the iconic work of Dali, surrealist painter . I love the way the animation uses a variety of different techniques to almost imitate the movement of the paintings created by Dali and reflects in many ways, the emotion of the characters. It’s interesting to observe the way shape is used to display a narrative although in this case the meaning behind Dalis work reveals in many ways the narrative for example the dripping face contrasted by the way the woman moves spontaneously in the wind happy with hair flowing suggest different emotions . The smooth and slow transitions between shots create a trippy feeling much like surrealist work often exploring the unconscious.
